G4TechTV...It's ZDTV 3.0
Man...I remember when G4TechTV was just ZDTV. Even though I didn't get to see it first start...I do remember when ZDTV had awesome stuff! The Screen Savers had Kate and Leo and that was all (mind you I think the current TSS crew kicks ass). Back when Leo and only Leo hosted Call For Help. And a gaming show called Gamespot TV was the place for games. Then I remember when ZDTV changed from that to TechTV...they were bought from Paul Allen I think??...anyway they had a slogan for a while "TechTV--It's ZDTV 2.0". A while after that change over A couple of years later in 2001 they started up TechLive. It was like an all day Tech CNN or Fox News. I liked that...but then they changed Call For Help to the Tech Live set and almost everything else...but they did extend TSS for 1.5 hours! I think GamespotTV changed to Extended Play...Kate Botello (who came from TSS) left Extended Play and a few of the origanal shows started to go by the way side...The Money Machine...Silicon Spin...and there were a few more. Last year TSS was cut back to 1 hour, Extended Play (then hosted just by Adam Sessler) was renamed to X Play and Morgan Webb. Those were the good shows....now for the bad. Thunderbirds for one just was a filler show along with Anime, Future Fighting Machines, Robot Wars, and a few more. Now today...there is no longer a TechTV. It's now a G4TechTV world.....hopefully it will bring us back to the days of ZDTV
