I received this comment about voter fraud from James a.k.a. jimmyjazz.
"theres nothing wrong with encouraging voter turn out with bribes, he never says to vote democratic just to vote (although it is implied that voters should vote democratic) so its not really illegal."
Allow me to be candid, James. You have got to be out of your mind believing that there is "nothing wrong with encouraging voter turn out with bribes". Apparently you didn't read the excerpt of the Voting Rights of 1965.
"This statute prohibits “vote buying” in the broadest terms possible by forbidding any “payment” or "offer of payment" that is made to a would-be voter “for voting” or to induce unregistered individuals to get onto the electoral roles."
Payment can (and probably does) include offering to buy someone a six-pack or giving them some form of sexual pleasure. Offering sexual favors for voter turn out? That has to be the most pathetic ploy! Once again...not only is it pathetic, but it is illegal.
James, I'm guessing that you are a Democrat (and there is nothing wrong with that)...but why defend an illegal action?

At the risk of being called “out of my mind,” I’ll make a comment.
Republicans have been offering incentives to get people to vote, as well. For example, the Missouri Republican Party is offering a $3 bounty to local political groups for each new voter they successfully register.
Are you as outraged at the Republican party now as you are at Michael Moore?

well I think its great to encourage people to vote, "bribing" people to vote is probally a bad word to call it though, I meant more like encouraging voter turn out, like the recent parties they have been having at Rythem and Brews to encourage people to register to vote.
I don't have any political leaning really.

Micheal Moore has always been the master of taking reasonable ideas and giving them a bad name.

Understandably that is against what the code is saying. What I'm saying is that Moore wants people to take people to the polls, give them beer, sex, or what not, and to vote for Kerry. You can tell by his pledge text that he is saying vote Democratic by "(make sure you’re not working in cubicles full of Republicans!)." I for one do not think it's right to give incentives to vote. It's your civic duty to this country. Ok, the party to register. Is there a cover charge? Do you have to pay for your drinks? Food? Do they say "Vote Republican get a free drink." or "Vote Democrat and get a free drink."? You seem very supportive of this technique. What if Rush Limbaugh said the same thing. Would you support that? I mean, after all it will help "get people out and vote". As far as I know he has not advocated this kind of behavior because he knows that it is illegal. I do think it is great to encourage people to vote, but by giving your viewpoints and letting them decide on their own free will.

Voter Fraud discovered during the Fall of 2004 in Greene County Missouri
There were discovered as many as 788 illegally registered voters at Baptist Bible College in Springfield Missouri. The Local Election Authority (Richard Struckhoff) was notified as well as the Secretary of State (Matt Blunt).
The voters were never required to properly register because the election authority was unwilling to make the politically charged decision. This voter fraud may have been occurring since 1979.
If local election authorities are unwilling or unable to enforce election law then we need an elections board to take care of voter fraud and other issues surrounding partisan politics.
How can approximately 788 people live at the same address? A Picture tells a thousand words.
