"Will Beg for Sports"
Well...today I went out going here and there. I usually see people asking for donations to send their kid to one of these little league playoffs. Now I'm seeing people asking for donations for middle school sports. This may sound "cold hearted"...but I have no sympathy for these people. Every year me and my parents had to pay at least $150 a year for band fees for the last four years. Some years more...some years less. I can only remember one time when we "begged" on the streets in Rossville. Last night on the news I heard that athletes may have to pay $25 to play sports. I can understand low-income families not being financially able to pay, but middle class? I know...car and house payments...and that kind of stuff...but I had to sell fruit, work concessions, band parents asking for grants, etc. Anyway, I guess I sound like a tightwad...but why ask another person to pay for your child's recreation when most parents can do that by themselves?? Ok...that's enough of that for now...
