Why Would You Vote For Kerry?

Question.
How and why would John Kerry be an effective president? (Reason(s))

UPDATE:
(in response to some of the replies)

A.) I believe that national security trumps the environment to some degree. I care about my environment. I recycle and stuff....but I don't go overboard on this stuff. Oh, and you understand that China is probably the largest polluting country in the world?

B.) I'm still not clear on the international views of Kerry. One week he said that he would vote for the war then he said that he wouldn't. I'm confused. By the way...the French are pussies.

C.) You also understand that Kerry has a very bad attendance record. If he was absent ~70-80% of the time at a company...I believe that he would be fired.

Bush is a little bit too busy doing his job to "rape and pillage our earth." Unlike Kerry, whose Senate voting record for the last couple of years just shows that he hasn't been there.

...and how exactly is Bush 'raping and pillaging our earth'?

hah! ignornat fools. for starters. . . repealing the roadless area act, opening frontier forest in alaska to be logged "A loggers christmas gift" was the headline. Making no restrictions on fossil fuel consumption, NOTHING. He is the most worthless peice of ____ the whitehouse has seen. All you republicans care about is that ____ war. I'm ____ hot!

I could post 5 pages of links about Bushes LACK of environmental protection, they're endless.

I have to end this discussion.

funny how we're assumed to be republicans.

I do care that we're careful about how we use the earth's resources. I guess I just think some other issues are higher priority. Like human resources. For me, the fact that John Kerry voted against banning partial birth abortions is a little more infuriating than Bush's lack of environmental protection. However, I'll try to keep a little self-control while I express my opinion.

Bush has in fact had a REALLY bad enviromental stance. Its shows he knows nothing on the subject and really could care less about the subject. Also he has had a very poor domestic policy and internationally well don't get me started I mean half our former allies won't back us again for years because of his policies and this is a VERY bad time for america to "go it alone". I think voting Bush out would show that americans do not approve of his careless and destructive policies. I think Kerry has a plan to help us recover from our international damage and to focus alot more a helpful domestic policies that strech across all classes while helping to pull our nation out of the red and ensuring that future Americans won't have to pay for our current wasteful attitude.

And about the partial birth abortions, let me ask you this; is the real problem that abortion is legal or is it that women are having sex when they don't intend on reproducing? We should be targeting the behavior instead of bickering about abortion.

Kerry’s Senate record? Here are some facts:

Bills which Kerry introduced in the Senate:

* 2004: Increase subsidies for women-owned non-profit business
* 2003: Small Business loans for child care businesses
* 2003: Tax credits to promite home ownership in distressed areas
* 2003: Establish a National Affordable Housing Trust Fund
* 2003: Increase funding to combat the global HIV/AIDS epidemic
* 2002: Include pickup trucks in CAFE; include hybrids in HOV lanes
* 2001: Make Election Day a national holiday
* 2001: Allow same-day voter registration on election day
* 2001: Invest funds to alleviate the nursing shortage
* 2001: $500 tax credit for each employee who telecommutes

Those are some pretty major accomplishments to me. How many of us can say we’ve done the above?

I can say I sometimes telecommute, which rules!
