The Tales of the Merger of G4 and TechTV from an Intern

I know that this is my 2nd consecutive posting on G4TechTV....I meant to post this Friday....but I'm lazy.

An intern who worked at TechTV through the merger of the 2 channels has given his point of view on what happened between the (explitive)y G4 channel and TechTV. I would paraphrase...but that would take too long. In short, a certain parent company of G4 was after the 45 million household base loyal to TechTV.

In related news, there are 2 rumors floating about the new game channel G4TechTV. One rumor states that G4TechTV will soon drop the 'TechTV' part and reassume the name G4, the name of the channel before the merger, in January of 2005. The other rumor states that there will be a resurrection of ZDTV/TechTV in the form of a MSTECHTV. It would be in the same block as CNBC and MSNBC and would premere in the 3rd quarter of 2005. I believe that former TechTV loyalists (including myself) would enjoy to see a new channel that is dedicated to computers, but honesly, I believe the chances of this happening are 1-5%. I could and hope to be wrong. We'll see.

Kevin Pereira still sucks.
