Issues with G4techTV and the Starrgate Cafe

2005 is here and I already have to things that are bothering me. Earlier I read about how the G4's management made The Screen Savers take faked calls a a little while after the move to LA. According to a former employee of G4techTV, the management made him setup calls by using other G4 employees, family, friends, etc. Though after the big layoff, TSS has went away from faking calls and is now taking 'non-tech' questions. To add insult to injury, one of the new hosts (Chi-Lan) is not allowed to answer a live call or email unless she knows 100%. Why does it bother me so much? Mainly it's because I remember what TSS was before it was sold to be slaughtered...it was a great show with great talent. Now TSS is a show with no substance, nothing unique. G4 sucks.

Rant 2:

Ok, some of you probably remember me talking about how I like Starrgate. It's has a friendly staff, good prices, Bawls, and a good selection of games. Back in June 2004 they closed in St. Elmo and are still in transit to a 'new undisclosed location' more towards the 'heart of downtown Chattanooga'. I'm glad that they are growing and personally I would like to see them beat CyberLAN (not to say that CyL isn't a good establishment), but what gets me is a.) why aren't they going to tell their customers where and when they are opening and b.) how come it's such a big secret. Anyway...that's it.
