Why Are Murderers Serving A Short Period In Jail?
If you haven't heard by now...a man killed his wife this morning in Hixson. That alone bothers me...but what drives me insane is that he has done it before!!! In 1995 he pled guilty to the murder of his girlfriend and was given a sentence of 15 years. He served only 5 years of that sentence in prison. 5 years! Let's see...if he was in jail serving his 15 years (like he was suppose to be) this would not have happened. There would have not been a murder last night. Some people may say "Well, we have no place to keep them because of overcrowded jails." Overcrowding? Ok, kill the murderers who are on death row that were convicted years ago. Cut the appeals process down for death row immates. That will cut down on overcrowding.
