I'm still wondering if anyone else would like to answer my questions.
What exactly is "new" about the New Hamilton County Democratic Party?
Do you think our President is the worst person in the world?
Was the Iranian national who tried to run over people at UNC-Chapel Hill a terrorist?
What is the Democratic Party platform for the coming election?
Why are you called homophobic if you like the person but don't like the lifestyle they live?
Why is so horrible to protect an innocent life that has no say for himself?
Why is it a crime to be successful and gain wealth?
Why do people think that we are a democracy when we are, in fact, a republic?
Why do you get criticized for wanting to protect yourself from those who wish to harm you?
Is love for one's country bad?
Why do people consider capitalism bad?
If you're a Republican, why do people label you a racist, sexist, environment destroying facist (or Nazi, even though Nazis are socialists)?
Why do people think Nazis (National Socialist German Workers Party) are facists when they are socialists?

Hi Nat-
Hope all is well with you. I am sorry I did not get around to answering your questions a few days ago, but I have been busy. I will try to answer those I know ( or think I know).
1. It is the New HCDP because Stuart James is our New Chairman and called it that. Maybe there is another reason, but this is the one I know.
2. President Bush is not the worst person in the world; Dick Cheney is.
3. No.
4. Security, leadership and fiscal responsibility. These three things are the strength of Democrats and what they should run on in 2006.
First, Democrats believe a stronger focus needs to be on security at home whether it be protecting our borders and ports or increasing funding to support law enforcement. Real security measures are needed and it is not being handled this way by the Republicans.
Secondly, Al-Queda is the real threat not Iraq. Al-Quaeda is in the Phillipines, North Africa, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Afghanistan and growing, we need to focus on stopping Al-queda before we are struck again. Bush has shown very little concern in stopping al-queda and has bogged our military down in a messy situation in Iraq. Real threats coming from Iran and North Korea are not being addressed because we are muddled in Iraq.
Leadership, this last year we have seen countless corruption scandals from Jack Abramoff, Duke Cunningham to coingate. Americans should have a government they can trust, one that does not break the law like the NSA scandal and Plame Affair did. Honest leadership is what the Democrats can run on for 2006.
Fiscally sane- the Republicans have spent more money and dragged us into serious debt which will cause us financial ruin in the world markets if some type of action does not happen NOW. We are headed for a very unstable recession because of the amount we owe. Bush has shown throughout his life, he cannot manage any money, without disatrous results. We have to change this and now.
We saw under Clinton how this is done: undo the tax cuts for the top 1%, that is not going to hurt anyone. Stop this insane out of control spending on pork projects immediately. Stop cronyism. Give contracts based on the best deal not on if you know Joe Albaugh. Once the debt is paid off, the stock markets and world will view us favorably and invest in our markets again. This happened when Clinton (Reuben) paid off the debt, the stock markets soared. People were prosperous and the country was happy.
5) I don't know why someone is called homophobic unless they are afraid of homosexuals. I only use it in that sense.
6) Protecting those without a voice is a good thing to do. Children, the disabled, the immigrants, the elderly, the poor all need to be protected.
7) I did not know it was a crime to be successful and wealthy in this country.
8) We started out a democracy now I feel like we are a plutocracy. A government by the wealthy instead of a government by the people. We are also a republic.
9) I don't know what you mean by the question.
10) No.
11) I don't know why.
12) Some times that is descriptive of Republicans, not all Republicans of course, but some such as William Bennet, come to mind.
13) Here is the definition of facism: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and race above the individual and that stands for centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition 2) a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control
Seems to describe the Third Reich fairly well, as well as the Perons, Mussolinnis, and many others.
