How to Break Windows Notepad

Hopefully most of you guys know about Windows Notepad. Here's a way to "break" Notepad.

1.) Open Notepad
2.) Type the phrase "this app can break" without quotes
3.) Save the file to your hard drive
4.) Close Notepad
5.) Open the file by double clicking on it.

Instead of seeing "this app can break", Notepad displays square characters. Notepad, for some weird reason, can't understand how to display the string. It doesn't crash or anything...it just can't display the characters.

Odd.
